Dave Long: The Party Legend
Meet Dave Long, the heart and soul behind Festive Events, who’s not just any DJ/MC — he’s a party legend! Dave is all about fun, professionalism, and has a wit quicker than a DJ’s spin. He’s rocked over 1000 events, turning each one into an unforgettable bash.
Dave’s DJ adventure kicked off over 30 years ago, starting in the broadcasting biz at Cape Cod’s WCIB, before lighting up the night at the legendary Mill Hill Club. Boston’s nightlife also got a taste of his magic at the Kenmore Club, spinning tracks in the ’80s hottest dance spots like Narcissus, Celebration, and Lipstick. Flash forward to 1985, and Dave was shaking up Boston’s airwaves with the “Morning Zoo” on WZOU (now Jam’n 94.5).
But wait, there’s more! Dave’s voice is still out there, making waves in radio and TV with his top-notch voiceover work. If you’re looking for an event that’s talked about for years, Dave Long’s your guy!

With a deep passion for beats and an uncanny skill to name almost any tune in under 5 seconds, Josh became the life of the party with Festive Events in 2010. Whether he’s firing up the dance floor in North Shore’s hottest nightclubs or setting the perfect vibe at weddings and events, Josh is the guy everyone talks about.

Clarence Barnes: The Seasoned Entertainer
Clarence Barnes: with a name like that, he has to be good! Seriously, it’s the 694th most popular name a guy could have in America, and to top that, Clarence is the fourth.
Growing up, you might have already heard Clarence on the airwaves of WZLX, MIX 104.1 Boston, in New York on-air at Z-100, in Los Angeles at KIIS FM, or nationally as the fill-in host for the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 Countdown.
You might recognize Clarence as the “Lincoln Tech Guy” on the motorsports TV show ROADKILL or maybe from Cold Case season 7. If you listen to the radio, you can hear Clarence nightly on-air on Classic Hits 103-7 in San Francisco, broadcasting live from his studio in Boston.
While Clarence is not exclusively a DJ, he has played hundreds of Weddings and Corporate events in Boston and as far away as Cancun. He believes that your special event is just that—a special day for YOU and his job is to bring the party to life!
